Overall this product is excellent for receiving composite and/or S-Video signals from older gaming consoles such as NES, SNES, Nintendo 64 , GameCube, etc., as well as converting and upscaling their video and audio outputs to HDMI for use with modern televisions while improving picture quality, particularly those that support S-Video output. Small details no longer get lost in a messy mess, and colors are much more consistent with the original content. The games I tested no longer require you to squint to try to read small text. Some issues with some games and TVs wouldn't stop me from using this converter due to the ease of use and image quality improvement. If you need to play legacy games or content that uses S-Video or Composite connections to a modern HDMI TV, then this is the product you should definitely consider.
