Full Representation I received this glowing ring as a promotional offer in exchange for an unbiased customer review of the product. for those looking for a financially responsible ring light / selfie light! The product arrived immaculately packaged: a professional Ubeesize box and product protection in a Revain box. No extra styrofoam nuts, but well thought-out packaging that suits the product. Unpacking and assembling is easy. Tripod and rod are already assembled. The tripod is folded and fixed with a single knurled screw after opening; There are four snaps on the post to fully adjust the height of the ring. The ring itself screws onto the bolt from above and is very reliable. There is a standard screw in the ring where the smartphone mount attaches, which appears to be the same size as for a standard camera. That's all for the assembly! All parts are upside down for disassembly and storage. The tripod easily reaches a full 62 inches and can be as small as 16 inches (including the base of the light ring and where the camera or phone mounts). Considering the tripod's size and height, it's quite stable indoors. Haven't tried installing it outside and don't know how wind might affect it, but I assume a little extra protection is recommended. The power adapter is about 6.5 feet long and plugs right into the side of the light ring. base at the top of the tripod. Arrow, installation complete! The smartphone holder isn't spring-loaded like some of the other products in this range - some like this as you can use the holder's thumbscrew to control how tightly the device is gripped, others may find it cumbersome to fully extend and then retract the thumbscrew. Either way, it's still pretty effective and safe. The light ring itself has three settings: daylight, a warmer white light that equates to a "relaxed" scene with smart lighting, and an intense bluish white that I would also equate to a "concentrated" scene. Each lighting setting also has 10 intensity levels, all controlled via a simple and intuitive touchpad at the base of the light ring. work while others work well. There is an iOS button and an Android button (I have iOS). The fob is instantly pairable: turn it on, go to the Bluetooth settings on your device, pair and you're done. Overall a great, simple, thoughtful and executed design. Ubeesize seems determined to make a solid name for themselves in this market and they are doing great!
