First of all I didn't know such a product existed until I found a solution to replace several table lamps in my father's office. Unfortunately I don't have a "before" photo with a couple of table lamps, but he has three table lamps in total (he's in his late sixties and the halogen spotlights weren't bright enough because of the high ceiling) when he was writing or reading. If you have a 32" LCD it may seem out of proportion, but again it depends on how wide the lighting you need to cover. CONS: + The maximum performance is limited to 5W due to the USB powered lightbar. For those who require more power you may need to look for a wall outlet. My father needed an LED bulb rated at around 10-12 watts. Despite this initial negative my dad liked this light bar and in the end the positives outweighed the bad, he particularly liked the even light distribution on the Sc writing/reading and minimizing eye fatigue from prolonged use. SUMMARY: Quntis computer monitor backlight effectively replaced 2 out of 3 desk lamps and freed up desk space. I researched various alternatives, including BenQ, and settled on this one for several reasons: 1) value for money (if that doesn't work, BenQ would be an alternative) 2) touch buttons give it a more premium feel compared to button controls; it is also within reach if adjustments need to be made which is a bit risky and hectic before purchasing.
