Yes, the sealing feature is there
There are many reviews saying that it will not seal, but it did for me. You do need to apply quite a bit of heat before the seal will start oozing out, and I am not sure that I hair dryer would be enough heat (I use a heat gun). End result was perfect! (see pics)

- I love that I can used these to further customize my projects. I will order more as needed.
Cons
- May not be as strong as other tubing options
