Definitely at least 3:1, probably more.

I used this to stabilize the old brittle cloth and rubber insulation in the electrical boxes in my home. The piece of mind is incalculable. It's super easy to use, feels at least as thick/durable as factory wire insulation and it shrinks MORE than 3:1 in diameter without loosing ANY length at the low setting of my heat gun.To address 3 complaints I saw in negative reviews; It does shrink MORE than 3:1. Remeber it contains an interior adhesive layer AND when you shrink the plastic, it doesnt…

Pros
  • Used for insulating wire splices. Works like it's supposed to, not much else to say.
Cons
  • May not fit all sizes of wires or cables

Shrink: yes Glue inside: ?

Smallest size shrank down to 24 gage hook up wire. Clarity is good. Used my HF heat gun for up to 600 degree heat - keep moving the gun to heat to fully shrink but not burn; point at all sides. Use a hair dryer? - silly, never found one with high enough heat; butane lighter is better than hair dryer in a pinch. No sign of the adhesive that often resembles hot melt glue on inside of tubes or the usual desired bulge out the ends. Shrank well, twisted soldered splice trapped well. Delivery was…

Pros
  • Tough stuff, high temp heat shrink is bullet proof. Used it in an under water led application.
Cons
  • Adhesive may not fully adhere in extreme temperatures

Great for waterproof and stress proof connection covering

Purchased to replace a setup that was lost at a customer's garage and on my latest job it's worked out well for an engine swap and some needed add ons for the swap. The used harness was from the engine needed a ton of splices and the heat shrink has been quicker to use than the previous items used and gives good adhesion to the wires making connections going forward the option of crimping instead of soldering. I've always used clear heat shrink to be able to check connections without having to…

Pros
  • A good quality product for restoration projects or just general repairs
Cons
  • Wish I could find a better quality American Made variety.

A handy set of heat shrink tubes

I'm a radio broadcast engineer and find myself making cables for various equipment as parts are either no longer manufactured or are just difficult to get due to the idiotic supply chain issues. So I bought some cable here on Best Buy, bought the end cable lugs, again here on Best Buy, and also got this set of shrink tubing to dress up the cable ends. It's a nice set with a great variety of sizes. The plastic carry cause is good enough quality where it does not come apart after a couple of uses.

Pros
  • Couldn't stop shrink tubing my wires! its so satisfying would recommend 10/10
Cons
  • Not suitable for high-voltage installations

Super thick, super clear

This is the most substantial, thick heat shrink I've ever used. It does shrink pretty far (didn't test the ratio precisely), and is crystal clear when shrunk. It also shrinks up to be super thick - I got this mainly to put labels on cables, but it's so nice and thick I've used it for other things that could benefit from durability (trailer wiring for instance). Shrinks up to be about 1mm thick, I'd guess.

Pros
  • This is not the first time I've used XHF Heatshrink. Very nice adhesive wall 3:1.
Cons
  • Needed to fix some shoelaces and this was recommended. Did the job, just not well.

Gobs of great shrink tubing

How did the factory put so many shrink tubes in this container?! It is just stuffed! My original purchase was to add aglets to the shorten laces on my hiking shoes. I already had black shrink tube but that would not look very good. It seemed crazy to purchase a whole box of tubes but for just one small project.but I am glad I did. A small section of tubing was strung onto the laces, shrunk then cut the lace and tubing at the same time. It looks nice plus the adhesive will keep on attached even…

Pros
  • Very happy with the product
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of insulation

Love this little kit of heat shrink

Great kit of poly heat shrink. Size choice is great. I use this for different things for fpv. Quality heatshrink. Be warned, this stuff is thick but protects very well!

Pros
  • Handy to have a variety of sizes. Easy to store and to access. Good value.
Cons
  • May not be waterproof in all situations

Great for cable labels

I got these to label some network cables I was running. It seems like most cable labels I could find hang off the side of the cables and I didn't want that. So I printed labels and used the shrink tubing over them. I was concerned about it fogging up and being unreadable but it worked great as you can see by the picture.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Adhesive may interfere with heat dissipation

Variety in an Neat Organizer

A variety of sizes of heat shrink in a convenient organized storage box. As a DIY'r,I may not use a lot of heat shrink, but when I do need to it is nice to have the right size on hand. What else can I add? Nice variety pack and makes for a assuring supply to keep near the workbench.

Pros
  • With 205 pieces in the kit, this product is an affordable and cost-effective solution for any DIY project, maintenance or repair
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with aggressive chemicals or fuels

Its clear and it shrinks when heated

I used this to secure knots on some cord. It is so clear it is difficult to see it on the picture. This also works for labeling things. Print out a tiny tag, put it around the cable or wire, then shrink some of this around it. You can easily read through this and the label will never come off.

Pros
  • Wiring & Connecting
Cons
  • May not offer enough resistance against corrosive materials

Is clear / transparent, not white as advertised

Looks terrible if you were expecting white. You can see the connection and bare wire underneath. Makes the job look sloppy and unfinished.

Pros
  • Works great just like its intended for. For the best results always use a heat gun and not a lighter!
Cons
  • Not versatile in sizes 😕

Yes, the sealing feature is there

There are many reviews saying that it will not seal, but it did for me. You do need to apply quite a bit of heat before the seal will start oozing out, and I am not sure that I hair dryer would be enough heat (I use a heat gun). End result was perfect! (see pics)

Pros
  • I love that I can used these to further customize my projects. I will order more as needed.
Cons
  • May not be as strong as other tubing options

Several sizes, many solutions

this box came with about 6 different sizes. They are thicker than ones i bought in auto parts store and better quality. I used a lighter to shrink the tube over the wire and given the thickness of the tube, it required a few passes for secure shrinkage and the glue to work. Be careful not to overheat as tube can wear thin and compromise the insulation. Better to pass the flame over the tubing 3-4 times, examine and pass flame again if more shrinkage is needed. Great quality product that I…

Pros
  • Great selection works well. A+ seller
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for heavy-duty applications

Great Value For The Money

This clear heat shrink works great for labeling wiring for ease of troubleshooting issues down the rode. I highly recommend this product for the money.

Pros
  • Worked like a charm.
Cons
  • Can be challenging to cut the tubing straight

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good size assortment

I'm rewiring a boat helm and using the tubing on ring terminals. I will also use to waterproof some inline splices where alternatives are not feasible. The adhesive seals well.

Pros
  • Much better than I expected.
Cons
  • May not be easy to find replacement pieces or parts

Revainrating 1 out of 5

no adhesive best in my review

No adhesive; the whole point of my buying this was to waterproof some wiring, but this isn't going to do it. That's my review.

Pros
  • Worked fine on my RC cars
Cons
  • May not offer enough protection against puncture damage

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product - my new review

nice length and easy to cut into smaller lengths if needed, stinks even and glue makes sure that water can't get in Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Heat-Shrink Tubing
Cons
  • May not offer as much strain relief as other tubing options

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very Good Product! best in my review

I received this heat-shrink tubing yesterday, and I immediately tested one piece of it on a couple scrap wires just twisted together. The tubing worked perfectly, and shrank completely to the contours of the twisted wires. I am certain that these will work perfectly and safely for any of my projects or repairs. Plus, I have enough to last for a few lifetimes!

Pros
  • High-Quality Material: Made of high-quality polyolefin material, this kit is durable and long-lasting, ensuring that it can withstand even the toughest environments
Cons
  • Adhesive may interfere with signal transmission

Excellent product, great value

Works great, excellent shrinkage rate. It’s convenient having several different sizes for different tasks. Top value for money.

Pros
  • Great value and did a great job.
Cons
  • May not fit around connectors or terminals

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good value clear 3:1 heatshrink kit

The kit was cheaper than getting a few of the same size pieces or having to buy more in bulk.I got these to use on a marine project, and up to this point, they have worked well for sealing my connections. Will have to wait and see how watertight they are and update based on that 6mo-2yr span.I now have some other sizes to use if/when needed all for the price of the few bits I needed ASAP.I would consider this a reasonably good vale and on-par with what I can get locally for a lot less money.

Pros
  • I like to work with shrink tubing
Cons
  • Can be messy to work with
