I originally bought a Nyko ds4 clip for about $12 but after a few weeks of use the plastic on it cracked and I had to return it as defective. When I read the reviews on this item, I see at least one other person complaining about the same thing. Then I found this $9 device to use on my latest pro controller with a new LED on the front. Decided to give it a try and was satisfied. Unlike a Niko which is held in place by rubber bands, this device snaps securely and firmly into place. It was difficult to put on at first, but once I did, I found it to be reliable and a perfect fit. I don't understand how this plastic can click the same way and look forward to using it in the future. This plastic is much more flexible, which means it won't break. The phone holder itself looks a lot weaker and cheaper than the Nyko, but it does the job for my needs. It grips my iPhone X well enough, but it can slip off when I pull the phone towards me. I'm not using the USB cable that came with it as it's for Android.
