Recently started drinking from a copper bottle about 1-2 times a week. They have great claimed benefits (which you can inform the box, product page or web search about) - and even if they don't do what they claim, I personally like the taste of the water better after spending 12 in a bottle . -24 hours as most recommend. What I also like is that they have an old-fashioned, rustic feel, are easy to clean (no soap, usually with salt and/or lemon juice), and I found them to be a fun conversation starter. So when I was offered this 34oz oCopper Pure Copper water bottle, I naturally wanted to try it. It's a smooth bottle, unlike the one I have that has engravings on it. You will also notice that many of these Ayurvedic bottles are made in India, and so are these. It doesn't stand, but it can also be hand or machine made like my other one, meaning the bottle will have imperfections, sometimes scratches, small dents, discoloration - this in no way negates the bottle for ME, but it could be for those who require perfection in their aesthetics my advice is that you can choose one that has an engraving/embossing or other design (or look for fully machine made ones if specified). Both have very few imperfections but one small dent and a couple of light scratches. Still a very nice bottle and will only gain character with time. We, used to vacuum flasks, will forget what it was like to drink from an ultra-light, thin bottle. Dropping this bottle will cause damage, and I don't know of any bumpers for bottles (although some might fit). So be aware. Again, I think this builds character over time and as long as the cap is still closed the bottle should still be usable. This particular bottle has a wide neck (2 inches) and a cap that fits snugly. The metal is on metal until you reach the seal at the top of the lid, and as another reviewer pointed out, it has a round platform. The center of the inside of the lid is definitely not copper but probably some kind of plastic so if you are against plastic this is not the bottle you are looking for Revain Would make a great gift for yourself or someone else!
