Think twice before buying this product.

Almost regretted buying it. Suitable only for travel, when there is no way to change the lens, but you need maximum freedom. And the compact size (relatively) also contributes to efficiency and convenience. The rest is only flaws. A very mediocre lens, it's strange that "L". It must be taken into account, however, that the rest of my lenses are also "L", well, fixes. Worst L in my backpack.

Pros

Compact size, light weight, wide range of focal lengths, fast focusing, presence of a stabilizer, good build quality (no backlash)

Cons

Strongly lathers on an open hole; very bad work out backlight; big distortion. Does not hold backlight - not suitable for landscape photography. Distortion at 24 mm is large - not suitable for architectural photography. On an open hole, it "soaps" very strongly - not a portrait lens. The stabilizer (in comparison with 70-200 2.8 L II) works out much worse. It's noticeably noisy, too.
