It works pretty well although things don't stay cold until the model fully closes the lid. It's great for non-Nalgen bottles, or bottles with a slightly different cap (I use it on my 32oz camel). I don't care about the smell of neoprene, but that's it. I bought this primarily to keep condensation from leaking out of my water bottle (and to keep drinks cold), and it helps with that. I should mention that I live in the south, so staying cold/non-condensing anywhere is a lot harder.
