Thicker sheets, denser filter. Maybe better than OEM

So it's time to change my air filter and I usually prefer to use the OEM product as much as possible. But OEMs come at a price, and Honda charges quite a bit for their stuff, even with the friends and family discount it's still pretty good. This filter fills that cost gap and maybe even better! The comparison shows the OEM has more creases than this one BUT what I couldn't grasp is the thicknesses of each sheet. This filter sheet is much thicker than the original, which also explains why it is actually heavier than the original. The trade-off between pleats and thickness is that pleats provide surface area while thickness confers the ability to trap particles. I suspect that this filter can capture finer particles than the factory filter. Again, I don't have the actual means to test this, just judging from the material itself and experience. This filter also has activated carbon and I believe it may contain more than OEM. Only time will tell how they perform, that's exactly 15,000 miles from now when I check. 3 quality filters at this price is hard to beat, especially when compared to OEM.
