Bought for my Chinese scooter

So I am working on restoring an old classic Chinese 5 engine motorcycle. And the ignition cylinder did not work, the copper contacts were covered with rust and dirt. Anyway I got this part but the connector type didn't fit so I took the old one and just replaced the old connector with the new one and plugged it back in, everything works great.
