"So smart it's stupid "

Excellent TV. Fantastic picture quality. Outstanding viewing experience. As a smart device, it's intrusive and annoying. The TV constantly tries to anticipate my needs and always gets it wrong. Settings seem to change automatically, almost always to something I didn't ask or want. I connected a TV to my computer and watched Netflix through the computer. When some settings were changed automatically and the screen became almost black. It took me an hour to undo it manually. The sound settings change by themselves and need to be readjusted in several places on the TV. What rationale could there be for having sound settings in two different places? I'm sure over time I'll learn to quickly fix LG's stupid design choices over time. Finally, the same thing happened with the silly design choices of our LG oven and fridge. But using LG home appliances has taught me two things. First, someone really needs to design a quality TV that's happily free of unwanted tech features and is just a TV. Second, LG really should stop using less intelligent engineers to create smart devices. Never make up the features of your product.
