This is a great lamp for night lighting but is also ideal for indoor use where flexible, bright light is required. I mainly use it as a reading lamp and attach it to the head of the bed. If I could change something about that, I would increase the size of the clip that can be opened. That's barely enough for my headboard (about 1 inch thick). I especially love the different light tones you can choose from, from bright white to bluish white to a lovely warm yellowish hue. All of this can be selected with a single touch. It charges quickly from a USB port (about 20 minutes with a Stone Cold Dead 1 amp USB charger), and a full charge typically takes several nights (maybe 20 hours). It was a good buy - could be a good gift.
