If you can follow the instructions and be patient, the repair will be easy.

Follow up after 6 months: Still working perfectly. Be sure to remove any extra lint that you can remove during installation. Easy to install even for a beginner if you are careful. On my Samsung it's as simple as unscrewing the top and removing the door switch terminals and then replacing the top on the hinge. Unscrew the front cover to access the baffle, then unplug the connector in the lower right corner and proceed to unscrew and remove the baffle. Then disconnect the belt in front of the drum and slide one hand on either side of the fan to access the idler pulley. I think mine pulls to the left to loosen, but it only pulls in one direction. After that, pull the drum forward, holding it with one hand to stabilize it and lifting it with a strap. When the drum is removed, the heating element and sensors on the blower are very simple electrical connections. At this point, take a picture of everything so you have a reference. Make sure you have a multimeter handy to check if your heating element is not grounded. It's a bit odd but doable to put it back in the fold out bed. The connectors can be connected to the thermistor, fuse and other components, etc. Don't pull on the ends and things will eventually slip out. THE FIRST LOAD MAY SMELL SOMETHING. Any time a new wire is heated it is normal for it to have an odor, the charge will run low with no content and it should burn clean. Again, this is perfectly normal if the installation is done correctly, nothing should be in direct contact with the element and it feels like oil off your fingers. I also replaced my pulley because the last time I had a service tech it cost me $275 separately. I put 60 pieces in my dryer and it's like new. If you have questions, there's almost always a YouTube video that answers them.
