Easy installation and good coverage

First of all I was not asked or offered to review this product but I was so pleased with this protection and the installation process that I decided to give it a try to share my experience. Apparently everyone is worried about screen coverage: I was hesitant at first after reading concerns about left and right side screen coverage, but I'm very glad I ended up trying this protection. To solve this problem, the glass seems to be cut precisely to the width of the viewable area on the screen. However, I wouldn't say it affects my browsing in any way. I'd say I'm a modest to average phone user and don't use it for gaming or streaming, but I have a hard time noticing a prismatic effect around the edge of the glass even when I look for it. Unless you're a phone lover or videophile, I don't think this will be a problem for you. When it comes to protection, the coverage area makes no compromises. There is a gap of a couple of millimeters between the edge of the screen protector and my phone case (Spigen Tough Armor for the 4a, which drew my attention to this matching screen protector). The phone has to land at the perfect angle on the raised razor blade for the coating to matter. Suffice to say I'm not worried about the screen protector. Installation: This has been my best experience of installing a screen protector 4-5 times on smartphones. This process took 5 minutes for two Pixel 4a phones (mine and my wife, so no room for error with two screen protectors in the box). Here's what I did: 1. In the bathroom, take a hot shower and plug the drain to release some steam into the air. Water in the air collects dust particles and prevents them from hitting the screen and ruining your life.2. Wash your hands 3. When the bath steams, follow the instructions in the kit (wipe the phone with a cleaning cloth, snap the rail in place, remove the protective film, gently place the phone between the rails.)4. I let the protection fully adhere before touching it. You can see the contact form with the screen outside in.5. Gently press down the path indicated on the sticker, although this is not necessary. There were no bubbles on either phone. I removed the instructions and immediately started using the phone. Again, this worked great on two consecutive attempts. I will also note that I haven't had any touch response issues from this protector, although the 4a does have the ability to increase sensitivity if that were the case. TL,DR The protector works as expected and the guides make it easy to install.

Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
