Smells terrible, burnt motor oil!

Update 02/19/19: I tried it in the recipe, I hoped that the smell would go away, it didn't work and ruined 6 jars of homemade products, the smell is disgusting, like burnt motor oil! Previously 2 stars, now 1 star! The smell is awful, unlike 100% castor oil I've used, the smell is more like motor oil, 100% castor oil is unlikely, won't buy again
