It's been a year and it's held up
I have a 2010 rav4 and it's a bit small for full coverage but it's mostly covered and has held up well in Texas over the last year. I can't tell if it works as well as the regular one, but it's better than nothing. Holds together with sun visors. Didn't use suction cups.
