I honestly bought this on an impulse buy! However, I have used it from time to time and do use it. I tried my daughter's short hair and then my crazy curly long hair. Here are my thoughts. It can be a bit frustrating to use on the first try. Doing this on someone else's hair is a lot easier than doing it alone. Short hair is best in my opinion, only one curler per strand is needed. Make sure you don't use too much of the area when you pull, as it may not curl, take longer to dry, or get stuck in the tool used to pull. Longer hair requires more than one curler, in my case three. If so, I recommend buying three packs of these. Also, with longer hair and combo curlers, it was harder for me to organize the direction of my curls, where one ended and another began.
