Heavy clasp and does not separate necklaces

I bought this clasp hoping multiple necklaces would not get tangled. Unfortunately not with this product. The weight of the clasp not only kept my necklaces from getting tangled, it kept them constantly twisting and ending in front of my neck. I'd rather not use this clasp than constantly unpicking and turning everything.
