Review on Neewer Centimeters Speedring Speedlite Photography by Kevin Reyes

The NEEWER Softbox is inexpensive but difficult to assemble

This might help some of you in your build. The softbox is fairly durable, comes with an internal and external diffuser, is not foldable, and comes with no assembly instructions (at least in my case). Begin assembly by defining the large and small ends of the rods. The small ends go into small pockets along the inside edge of the canvas dome. However, you must first thread each one through the elastic loop just below each pocket. Once in place they form the spokes of the wheel. The other end of each rod is covered with a slightly larger piece of silver metal that fits into the holes in the metal sleeve (there are eight holes corresponding to the eight rods - don't confuse them with the extra holes). Inserting the rods into the holes is the tricky part, but it really just takes determination and care. Take your time with this step. Then the whole thing is mounted on the Bowens S-Bracket as shown in the picture. The inner shield is put on by small elastic loops and the outer shield is put on from the front like a Tupperware sleeve.
