I had to get a replacement for an older model iPad 3 hence the purchase of this case. The plastic covering on it isn't a hard plastic like I had hoped for. The rubber cover on the mic and charging connection seems flimsy. You have to flip this open and close when charging the tablet and I can see over time it ripping off since it is just a thin rubber piece. A plus to it is the kickstand because I didn't have this on my previous cover. Overall, it gets the job done since you run out of options with an older tablet.
