Type of review

The cable works well, a few things to note:1. The DVI end of this is very "tall", from the end of the screws to the pins.2. The Displayport end of it seems of low quality. I've run into this problem with several non-OEM displayport cables, the button to release it from the machine starts not working great, and the displayport connector starts wiggling it's way out of the plastic housing it sits in.Again, the cable seems to work great though.

Pros
  • Black
Cons
  • May not support touch-screen or stylus technologies

3 stars for that, 4 stars for

lowest price cable I could find, does the job. The tighten-down screws on the plug are more rubbery rather than plastic and gave me some trouble. Not knurled properly with grooves to use your fingers and screw drivers mash up the slot.3 stars for that, 4 stars for electronic function based on value, price.

Pros
  • This is a passive cable that requires a DP++ port (DisplayPort++). cable can only pass signal from DisplayPort to DVI port. This is not a bi-directional cable.
Cons
  • May not offer enough contrast or brightness for some users

so the nice heavy duty

beware, the sound bar on the bottom of the monitor stuck out too much, so the nice heavy duty, indestructible dvi end did not fit

Pros
  • Cablelera
Cons
  • May not be able to handle high-bandwidth applications

Doesn't support 144 hertz

So I bought this wore because I just purchased a RX480 and I needed to use the display port on the card to get 144 hertz with my monitor. Well is doesn't support it so if your buying the wire for the same reason I did it will not work.

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • May not be able to handle high-definition content or streaming

Does what it says - my new review

Does what it is supposed to do. I used this cord to connect my secondary 1600x900 DVI monitor into my graphics card. The computer instantly recognized it and the picture looks the exact same it would with a DVI to DVI cable. Very happy with this purchase, it does its job perfectly.

Pros
  • Works very well.
Cons
  • Too short for my needs.. returned it. I'd advise buying something a bit longer just to be safe

Works great good for me

Seems to be working great. I have 2 PCs using the same monitor and the new PC had DisplayPort but the monitor was older and I connect using DVI and VGA. Once I had an issue with color on the monitor and it went away when I fiddled with the colors and also re-tightened the cable.

Pros
  • Cables & Accessories
Cons
  • May lack supporting features such as audio support

Great Value Product

Perfect - exactly what I needed to connect my new PC to a twin par of monitors leaving the HDMI ports free for my laptop dock. Great price, delivery and service.

Pros
  • Projector, Monitor, Television, Personal Computer
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain audio or video device settings

Great Value - my new review

The 6ft DP-DVI cable is the cheapest available at the time, and it shows. As others have mentioned, the DVI plug is much longer than normal and the thumbscrews on the DVI plug are molded smooth (no knurling for grip) which makes it difficult to tighten them by hand (especially when upside down and in a blind spot during installation). The cable itself is quite stiff, slightly more than the average OEM DVI cable that come with some monitors. The DP connector is fortunately quite good. All I've…

Pros
  • Widely Compatible
Cons
  • May not support multi-display setups

Great value, short cable

A great improvement over our VGA cables. Everything is much more sharp. We liked that it was shorter than most cables so there was less to try and hide since the computer and monitor both sit on the table together.

Pros
  • 110pack
Cons
  • May not work with certain software or applications at all

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Half of what I hoped for

Because this cable has no power line, you cannot use this to plug a DisplayPort monitor into a computer that only has a DVI output. You can only use it to plug a DVI monitor into a DisplayPort device.

Pros
  • Great cord. Hooked it up to my second monitor and my graphics card. No issues. Very self explanatory.
Cons
  • May be more expensive than other similar products on the market

working well. great price

cant believe i never heard of these things before. using them with my work laptop (dell) and the docking station. they are working perfectly. 10x better than vga cables.

Pros
  • It’s a cord what else do you need to know
Cons
  • May be prone to tangling or knotting during use

Works as advertised - the way a product should

I have had no issues with this cable. It makes a great connection between my monitor and laptop and empowers me to have two external monitors (the other monitor is using a VGA <> VGA connection).

Pros
  • Cables & Interconnects
Cons
  • May be prone to signal loss or interference in certain conditions

No unnecessary plastic, perfect!

I have a Dell Toughbook that one of my users snapped the VGA port in which left me with only a Display Port for connecting the Toughbook to monitor. The monitor we use only has VGA and DVI capabilities. I previously bought a Cable Matters Gold Plated DisplayPort to DVI Cable, 6 Feet but the Toughbook has all its ports protected by dust-cover doors and the male display port end of the Cable Matters cord was extremely fat. I gambled on this one thinking it looked like it did not have as much…

Pros
  • Good quality, thick shielded cable. No issues at all.
Cons
  • Packaging may be difficult to open or dispose of

Fifty percent failure (one out of two).

I purchased two of these. One was faulty. I am not a computer neophyte. That is, I checked both of my received cables on several display terminals. One worked on all; the other worked on none. I remember when Bell Laboratories established standards on hardware and software it produced as part of AT&T. Failure rates in delivered product could not be greater than 0.01 percent in most categories. In many others it was even more demanding (0.001 percent). It seems that the culture now accepts about

Pros
  • 5.5 x 5.5 x 0.75 inches
Cons
  • May not support 4K or 8K content

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works great and I am so happy

I was worried that since it was so reasonable, it would not perform as well or at all. It works great and I am so happy! Thanks for a great product!

Pros
  • Display port with latches Male to DVI Male, Black Color, 3ft, 110 pack
Cons
  • May not be able to handle high-frequency content such as high-speed sports or action scenes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Defintely worth buying

Cables came in and plugged them in and then that was it. Easy to set up. If you were thinking of getting the cable then buy it.

Pros
  • 330.0 Foot
Cons
  • May not offer sufficient security against hacking or cyber threats

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cheap but effective

Higher quality display port cable. Gets the job done, but I prefer not to use display port at all if I can. Will suffice for most needs.

Pros
  • Good cable for our needs but it's awfully stiff, which puts pressure on the connection at the computer.
Cons
  • This didn't work for my computer--well, it worked for one but not the other. Not sure why.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

works great best in my review

built well and saved me a lot of headaches with people who had older monitors, I do believe it also works in the reverse situation with old pc's and new monitors but I wont stake my life on that.

Pros
  • Works great.
Cons
  • May require additional software or drivers to function properly

Good Cable in my review

Not much you can say about a cable except that it does it's job. It seems substantial and I've had no problems with it at all.

Pros
  • Needed this cable when the rona hit and everyone had to work from home. The cable is sturdy and works.
Cons
  • Only 3 feet long, may not be adequate for larger distances
