No unnecessary plastic, perfect!
I have a Dell Toughbook that one of my users snapped the VGA port in which left me with only a Display Port for connecting the Toughbook to monitor. The monitor we use only has VGA and DVI capabilities. I previously bought a Cable Matters Gold Plated DisplayPort to DVI Cable, 6 Feet but the Toughbook has all its ports protected by dust-cover doors and the male display port end of the Cable Matters cord was extremely fat. I gambled on this one thinking it looked like it did not have as much unnecessary plastic. That gamble paid off! It works perfect and easily slides into the small dust cover door.
- Good quality, thick shielded cable. No issues at all.
- Packaging may be difficult to open or dispose of
