It doesn't have software to scan hardcover books, but it does scan almost everything else.

This is an excellent visualizer. In fact, I returned it and bought the next model just because the program didn't have the ability to scan hardcover books. When you need to scan unbound documents quickly and reliably. It is extremely portable, easy to install, if you don't have a floppy drive the software is available on the website.

Stylish and portable scanner!

I have had another Czur scanner, the Czur Aura Pro, for about 20 months now. Love it! As a scientist, I keep scanning objects for my research, teaching and yes, also for my official work. I have recommended it to my colleagues over and over again. I jumped at the opportunity to purchase the Czur Shine Ultra for its advanced features. It's smaller and lighter than the Czur Aura Pro (weighing just 2.2 pounds), so it's just as light and packable as a thin laptop. Both scan up to A3 format…

Easy to use. More flexible lighting can be used

This scanner is easy to set up and use. To set up, simply connect the included USB cable to the scanner and your computer's USB port. Once connected, I downloaded the latest drivers and software from the manufacturer's website. They come on a CD that came with the scanner, but I always check websites for updates so I just downloaded the software while I was there. I really really wanted to like it but it had some issues

I have many old books that I would like to read on my Kindle when I travel that are not available in this format. I thought this scanner might be the way to get them in Kindle format so I decided to give it a try. I was SUPER impressed with the look of the device when it arrived. Very nicely packaged and the workmanship of the device appears to be of high quality. However, the first snag I encountered was installing the software.
