I needed to replace my old paper shredder and found this to be an amazing upgrade. It shreds up to 14 pages at a time as well as credit cards. Now I can scatter scraps of paper around my garden and feed the worms. There is an auto and reverse function.

This shredder is perfect for my home as we don't shred thousands of pages a day, but we get through important documents quickly and handle more than one batch of labels. The garbage can under the mill keeps the waste clean and tidy. The handle on the grinder makes it very easy to remove the lid and hold onto it when emptying the container. If set to Automatic, load up to 8 sheets and it will shred them and shut itself off. Not a super grinder, but not overly loud either.

I received this to replace my OfficeMax shredder which was starting to have teeth failing in the center causing the paper to clump up in there over time. I could also only shred credit cards and about 5 pieces of paper at a time. This paper shredder shreds 10-12 papers, of course depending on the thickness. I love this grinder as it has burned out the previous ones I've had. this one chews more pages at a time than the others and seems hungry for more. it reminds me of the Tasmanian devil from Bugs Bunny cartoons who always wants more. When my old chopper stopped working I found this wonderful one to replace it. It can shred up to 8 pages at a time. This means I can destroy an entire junk mail envelope at once without opening it first. Schröder is up to the task! It is shredded by a cross cut, leaving less space in the bin.
