I ordered three identical sets, so prior to installing the lugs I maually threaded them on a brand new spare stud. One set was smooth and easy to thread on by hand. The 2nd set I needed to use the key to manually thread on, and the 3rd set I needed tools to thread on a brand new stud. It was more difficult removing my old faucet than installing this new one. This install is incredibly easy and requires minimal tools. And when you do need to eventually uninstall it one day, it should be easy as well.PLEASE READ: ensure you have enough clearance for your backsplash. Perhaps the best pair of boots I've had for the price. I liked the first pair so much that I'm on my second pair. I walk quite a bit daily and usually wear through soles quickly, but these hold up well and are very light and very comfortable. Once I got the correct bulbs in the correct holes and cross plugged in the connections it looks awesome and have gotten lots of complements. Definitely not a 5 star because the bulb sockets are very goofy to work with aligning them up and it’s very much a guess and check kind of deal when there aren’t any directions at all.
