Not what I was looking for, but.

This ruler appears to be accurate and will assist with straight line drawing or cutting. However, I purchased this ruler for artwork. The edges of the are sharp, not enough to cut skin easily, but they need to be blunted. The ruler I received was bowed and requires downward pressure to keep it flush with a surface. The top is scratched and had a dirty smudge that needed to be removed with alcohol; not a deal breaker, but disappointing. All that being said, the ruler suits some purposes, just…

Exactly what you expect--No hassle!

I ordered the 18in variation.Its exactly as seen so no hassle there.My only issue (And this is very minor) is that its a bit flimsy for my taste. Not as sturdy as I would have liked, but it gets the job done and I'm satisfied.

Accurate but flimsy

The ruler is fine and it does what I bought it for - a straight edge that does not slip easily when I am cutting leather. The only criticism and the reason I rate it a 4 instead of 5 is that it is a bit more flimsy than I expected.

Shipping method isn't great

I can't speak to the accuracy of this ruler but it's a great straight edge to use when cutting things with an exacto knife. It is not rigid when not on a flat surface. It will wobble when you hold it up.But my biggest complaint is how it arrived half out of the unopened box.

18 inch metal rulers (2 pack)

My honey was happy for a metal ruler to replace the homemade wooded one that her grand daughter accidently broke. She sews a lot and this will be used for a long time. The extra ruler will be given to my daughter once she comes back home. She sews a lot also

Very sharp edges for my opinion

I didn’t aware that it is so thin and flexible. But that not a big deal. The problem with the ruler is that the edge is not treated. It is so sharp. I have to file it so it not gonna cut my finger of.

Great non-slip backing but very flimsy at 36 inches

I bought this ruler in 2 sizes because of the non-slip cork backing. That part is great! I use a light table with a glass top and these rulers stay where I set them. I wish the metal was a little bit thicker. They are flimsy and while it's no big deal on an 18 inch ruler, the 36 inch ruler is very wigly.

Pay attention to all words in the description

Although this yard stick was described as "Breman Precison Metal Ruler 36 Inch - Stainless Steel Corked Backed Metal Ruler - Premium Straight Edge Metal 36 Inch Rulers - Flexible Stainless Steel Ruler - Inch and Metric." I either missed the word "flexible," or I did not understand the implication of a "flexible" yard stick. I lost my favorite yard stick, which provided an excellent rigid straight-edge. Turns out, a "flexible" straight edge just doesn't work when you need a rigid straight edge -

It IS Flexible best in my review

I needed a 3ft ruler for my sewing. This will do the job perfectly as I have a large enough area to cut material on. I noted someone said they were a beginner and found the flexibility did not help. I’m not sure why this was a problem as it is only flexible top to bottom, not side to side. Haven’t used it on silky material yet as I am redoing blinds and upholstery and this is perfect for that.

somewhat disappointed - faded markings and start is not start of ruler

somewhat disappointed with these. marking on ruler is not as clear and easy to read as i expected, and, ruler does not start at 0 (zero) so there is space between roller measurements and end of physical ruler. this means you can measure from a wall or object to the length you need. this is a big issue for anyone that may use it for woodworking

Thin Material for my opinion

The ruler is made from extremely thin material, in fact, it got bent just in shipping. I was going to use it as a straight edge for etching glass, however, it is much too thin.

multi uses good for me

I love this ruler. It is easy to read and I love that I can use it to cut my foam clay when I need to without pulling out another item. i was distraught because it came to me inside a paper bag and the post office folded the bag into 4ths to shove it into my mailbox. the ruler was bent in u shape. i had to straighten it and then place heavy books on it for days to get straight. it should really be sent in a better package.

Well made, accurate flexible ruler!

Okay, so I did tons of research before buying this ruler. I have seen bad reviews on Ebay for this product, but I can't for the life of me understand why? This is an accurate, well made, solid stainless ruler, and us very clearly etched and marked. I can't fine one negative this to say about it.
