Reliable product for all occasions, quality on par.

The 2022-language version of this printer blows your mind the first time you use it. We are all used to the fact that 99% of keyboards have white Latin and red (orange) Cyrillic. It would seem that what could go wrong? That's it, the Brady designers said and made the Latin alphabet orange, and the Cyrillic alphabet . 80% white, 15% orange, and 5% hidden in the menu. HOW this could have been thought of, I have no idea. You get used to it, but it's still half the trouble, because the most…

    Pros
    • Cheap, functional, compact, battery operated.
    Cons
    • $10 for 1 meter of print. Large indents at the beginning and end of the print.

The font style is different from my other BMP21. Unacceptable

I'm very angry with this bmp21 labeller. I have the EXACT same model that is two years older and the invariant default programmed FONT is wildly different from one machine to another. Consistency is important in my space and the new font style is terrible. Almost unreadable. I've always bought Brady labelers for their reliability, but approaching a big job it's annoying. What can you say about this Brady?

    NO BATTERY! on label maker

Well I just took the unit out of the box and I'm disappointed that the Revain website is suggesting that this unit comes with a lithium ion battery because it doesn't the case is come with batteries. The only way to get a lithium-ion battery is to buy it separately from Brady ($85) or the BMP21-PLUS kit for $100. A charger is included, that's the only way to charge the battery, so you probably shouldn't buy a battery unless you buy a charger. Brady BMP21-PLUS handheld label printer with rubber…

    This is a partial device.

I'm a bit disappointed that the wall adapter isn't included. I was expecting the battery to be an upgrade. It gets 3 stars because I was able to buy other items in the cart and got a cheaper total price than the set. but it was an unexpected expense and they buried the details in the fine print. In terms of quality, the factory where I work has 5 of them that are in daily use and have always been a reliable tool that we use in the sector. Brady is also standard in most factories I contract…

Follow this unorthodox polarity and you're done

The basis for 5 stars is the BMP21, which outperforms other popular brands in features and quality. You don't have to worry about labels, they are much more durable and sticky than their competitors' labels and good enough for cables and flat surfaces. The printer firmware takes care of the mode (wire, flat surface, control box labels, etc.). White on blue, white on black and white on red are particularly striking. The optional power supply unit gets less than 5 stars due to its high price. If…

Like all label printers it uses a lot of ribbon

I really like the label printer, I have to label many different items like patch panels, cables, sockets etc. The printer does this excellently and has many features. I wish the menu was a little less confusing, but I think that's how it should be with all the different features. I have two main complaints, the first is that like all the others I've used, this printer uses a lot of ribbon. By default they have large margins, and even reducing the margin to the smallest possible value still…

Waste Waste Waste Very expensive labels

I bought this to replace my cheaper Dymo consumer paper label printer. Brady wastes more very expensive tape than Dymo. There is no way to adjust waste or fields. 1" ribbon fits 1-1/16" labels, but only 4 lines of 5 characters in 6 point font on 3/4" wide tape. The rest of the empty space is more than 2/3 of the bandwidth. Label. 3/8 inch is lost at the beginning and end of each label; This is a typical drop of 3/4 inch per label at about 18 cents per inch (waste of 14 cents per label at $45…

    Good Print To Death

I've had one for about five years. Last night I noticed that the battery indicator was dead. So, as it turned out, I turned it off for the last time and changed the batteries. He never turned on again. I even rummaged through my box of DC transformers and found a few compatible ones. No dice. Had I reviewed this device in the first few months of use it would have been a very different review. But after getting used to its features and seeing the shortcomings, I think it certainly deserves a…

    • Negative Gift

Pros:* The labels themselves are very, very good. The line includes many material and color options, and they don't curl.* A variety of convenient formats, including wrap-around cable labels, set it apart from the competition.* The device feels solid and well-made, and the mechanics feel solid on. * The display backlight is great, and while the keyboard itself doesn't have a backlight, it can be used in dark environments. * Unlike Brother P-Touch devices, there is no wasted 2" of tape at each…

Everything is OK. Do not use the batteries to their full capacity.

When I first bought this my intention was to use decent NiMH batteries. As shown it took 6 of these in a row which was not a problem. Been using it for a while and found that the battery doesn't seem to last for everything. Except that the "Battery Gauge" on the device only had 2 segments showing the charge level. So I looked into it further. I connected the device to a programmable power supply and got the following: Battery status: < 7.1V battery shows a flat battery 7.1V - 7.6V shows a…
