Great sound

This is a great Toslink optical cable. I've owned a variety of Toslink cables, from regular to high-end, and this cable stood out from them all. A common misconception is that any optical cable will work fine, but that's just not true. Any reasonably well-designed cable propagates light well enough to provide an audio receiver with the pulses of light needed to decode incoming audio data. However, cables that aren't made from the best materials and don't meet exacting specifications can introduce propagation errors that not only cause signal loss, but can also cause frequency fluctuations and data delays. While most well-designed receivers can recover from data problems, the accuracy of the resulting signal is reduced with a corresponding loss of potentially both high and low frequencies. In addition, data delays introduce clock phase noise (ie, jitter) resulting in noticeable audio degradation and propagation. While any cable manufacturer can claim that their cable has superior performance, listening is the proof. And the iVanky optical cable has excellent performance in my opinion. I take great care of my audio and video components and only use high quality HDMI cables to carry the audio and video signals from the source to the TV and then use a Toslink cable to carry the audio source to the receiver. This minimizes potential signal degradation. The iVanky cable delivers exceptionally clear sound with tight highs and booming lows. Also, although I did not measure the frequencies received by the receiver, I could not detect any apparent loss of frequency on either the upper or lower frequencies. The tones from the speakers were very tight and clear, with no noticeable jitter. I highly recommend the iVanky Toslink cable.
