Choosing a gift for a girl is always a difficult thing, especially if you need to combine its quality, planned budget and operating conditions in her hands. Therefore, when choosing a portable speaker within 8-10 thousand, long-playing and with a power of 20-30 W, I drew attention to several competitors: JBL Charge 4 (8999), Sony SRS-XB33 (9999) and Ural TT M -4 (6500). I listened to each of them, twisted it in my hands, carried it around the trading floor, read reviews, in general, I spent several days of my life on this struggle. So, summary. JBL with its barrel-shaped sound - acoustics for an amateur, and mono. The Ural plays stereo, has two speakers, and it is the longest-playing of the three, for which it weighs almost 1.7 kg (but has loops for attaching a carrying strap), 30 W are declared (20 W are indicated in amazon, this is not so , on the package 2x15 W). All three speakers are waterproof. But! Sony in the default equalizer settings plays nicer than others, capturing both the upper and lower frequencies. In the Urals, the upper frequencies are heard only with the appropriate settings (I use Dub Music Player), it has a peculiar sound, mainly in the middle of the frequencies. I admit, I really bribed Sony - with its backlight (not just blinking diodes, as, say, on the Sven PS-550, but with rhythmic, lively flashes and mode changes to the beat of the frequencies and tempo of the music) and the surround sound effect. As a result, I decided not to skimp. The high price in the case of the Sony SRS-XB33 is a one-time payment for the pleasure of everyday use of the gadget. Ural is worth taking if you are not too lazy to carry extra 800 grams and if your hearing is not too picky in the audio frequency range. For example, if you are traveling by car, you do not mind killing him, or you are just a man - drag him with you to the dacha, into the forest, etc. And its price is sweet in comparison with competitors. JBL is an average combination of quality / sound / price - a device for JBL lovers. I'm not a fan of Sony, but it looks good in the interior of the apartment and sounds great, soft.
