After looking at various cameras in this class I settled on this Panasonic. My reasons: 1. I liked my old Panasonic. 2. LEICA camera lenses in this price range are fantastic. 3. ON/OFF switch, no button to accidentally press or turn off at the wrong time (like Canon!) 4. Pictures are phenomenal without having to carry around a camera bag full of interchangeable lenses. 5. The settings are on the watch face, no need to search through the digital menus to switch between commonly used settings. 6. Easy charger (unlike my childhood Nikon which lost too many parts) 7. 24x optical zoom. Problem. So although I've heard that Walgreens will soon be able to burn DVDs from SD cards, I'll have to play around with the video option soon, my old camera didn't have video and I didn't want to use my computer's storage space. to upload a video. Disadvantages: not fulfilled. I've already taken a few hundred photos with this camera in the few weeks I've had it and am very happy with the camera.
