My daughter had her ears pierced at 4 months and for the next 3 months her "safety back" fell off literally every other day. I had to keep them handy everywhere and keep a constant eye on her earrings to make sure they didn't fall out. Considering the cost of these earrings I thought I'd be patient but after 3 months I gave up and went looking for gold screw back earrings. I stumbled across these and immediately bought the 3mm which is great for babies but over 12 months old I would suggest going a size up! Took me 1 hour to get to the amazing toddler - the back couldn't be smaller! But they were on for 2 weeks and didn't budge. She didn't look annoyed either! I just hope they don't fall out because getting them back won't be easy! I only protected them to give her a break when I put them on and I noticed that they held up pretty well so this might work as a backup solution as well.
