My wife and I are very happy with the DeKor nappy bin, but the smell of dirty nappies is ALWAYS present. That is the nature of the animal. Poop is poop and eventually it will stink! Especially the ever-popular purges! To counter this, we started tossing poop diapers into separate plastic bags. From there they end up directly in our trash can outside in the garage. The garage will smell a little, but not as bad as where your bucket is. This got rid of almost all odors and left the room pretty fresh! When you're about to change your bucket bags, cut open the plastic near the last diaper. Take the bag out of the bucket and put it on the ground. Bend towards the bag and squeeze it as deeply as possible. (Make sure your face isn't in the way! The smell is awful! It will give you nightmares.) These bags are strong enough to withstand the crushing force. This gives you enough room to tie the knot. Tie a knot with the bag in the bucket and slide it down as low as you can, keeping it tied. When you get to the bottom, pull well to secure this knot. So you get an extra sachet or two per pack!One more word of caution. don't put anything sharp in the bags. It will break and your day will only get worse. In the end, the bags are very durable and worth their money.
