Review on ๐Ÿฒ Sous Vide Precision Cooker - Instant Accu Slimโ„ข Immersion Circulator, 800W by Maria Ngo

Works great - it couldn't be easier! Attaches directly to my Instant Pot - or to a pot etc.

I wanted to try sous vide and was glad I got it but was concerned about the extra cost. Then I realized that I don't need to buy a container or anything else with it. These are the clips on my Instant Pot stainless steel liner! I just put it on and filled it with hot water. Otherwise, I use Foodsaver bags as I have plenty on hand, but you can just use freezer bags. I also use small staples like these I have on hand: https://www.amazon.com/IPOW-Multicolor-Crafting-Knitting-Quilting/dp/B01LX8WVVZ. small size works great. You can use clothespins, pocket clips, or something else. If you don't have an Instant Pot, you can use ANY Exchange Pot. There is a line here marked High and Low. If you try to turn it on before your tank has enough water, you will get an ERROR message. Setting the time and temperature couldn't be easier - it's just a matter of pressing the plus or minus sign and the next button. Once it turns on, it heats the water and you can see the water moving. When it has reached the temperature, the countdown starts. Yes, sous vide really makes the steak AMAZING. Even the iron comes out with a gentle fork. Use fewer spices as they don't get lost in the cooking and go really well with the food this method. The steak is evenly cooked but looks terrible. It still needs to be broiled on a grill or in a griddle pan to give it a nice blush and crust. In addition to bags, you can also use SOUS VIDE with closed jars for various desserts and vegetables. There are tons of good cooking demos/recipes on YouTube. about the size of a small hand blender. Cons: The food still needs to be fried so the pan is still dirty. Cooking takes longer (but about 95% of that time requires no intervention, so while you need to plan well ahead, it can also save you time.)

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Something's wrong
