The built-in switch is too close to the plug.
If you look at the picture you can see the built in switch is only a few inches from the plug. I didn't notice that when I bought it. If your plug is behind furniture, that's a big problem. Even if it doesn't, you'll have to reach almost to the floor to turn it on or off. Also, the lampshade doesn't cover the bulb enough, and I couldn't bend it far enough that the bulb wasn't visible.
