Review on Provon Medicated Lotion Soap Chloroxylenol by Erin Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good soap, but there are a few nuances.

In general, the soap is not bad, but there are a few things you need to know. First, as many have mentioned, it has a medicinal odor (not surprising since it's hospital grade soap). However, I found that while it can smell strong initially with actual use, the smell doesn't seem to linger excessively, nor in a way that would be 'uncomfortable'. There is definitely a "clean" feeling when used. Not only does this have to do with the smell, but also because it lathers well enough (if you lather long enough; it doesn't actually lather as fast as some other types of soap). It's also a bit thicker than some other liquid soaps (it does dilute with water though). Your skin also feels visibly clean after use. Not necessarily "moisture-free”, but "clean” nonetheless. The "lotion" additives seem to compensate for any drying that this soap might otherwise cause. As long as any of the above is not a problem for you, I don't see any problems with this soap.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Useless features
