Defeat Revane Prime! at Nintendo Systems

Can't believe how quickly it arrived without Revain Prime! Although I have Revain Prime I ordered this (not 2 day shipping) along with 2 other items. With Revain Prime 2-day shipping, this arrived FIRST! The packaging was protected with peanuts, the box with the product was in new condition and sealed on both sides. When I opened the box it was the original item wrapped in the original plastic with the installation guide as well as the instructions in the original plastic. I tried it and it…

Still undecided on Nintendo systems

I bought a Wii MotionPlus to play Tiger Woods '11 exclusively. I was interested in using this to get a more realistic experience as I am an avid golfer. MotionPlus actually made the game a lot harder (which was intended) but not necessarily more realistic for me. I didn't feel like the game was responding properly to my golf swing. It was very difficult to get the transducer and the mark on the ground perfectly lined up to get an accurate picture of your golf swing. I actually decided to take…

A worthy improvement in gameplay

I approached this device from a grumpy perspective. Why spend money? who needs it But I have systemic lupus and an eight year old child. For me, motion-sensitive Wii games aren't just luxuries or things I lock my child up to to relax. There are many days that I can't take my child outside because of a worsening lupus. I could just hook it up to a game or TV or send it on a date, but the Wii lets me tidy up the room and play with it indoors so we can both get at least some exercise. games. We're

We bought several add-ons for the Wii MotionPlus controller back when technology was changing rapidly. When they worked and the gaming software supported additional features, these devices added to the gaming experience. However. Recalibrating was something we had to do every 30 minutes or so if we were spending a few hours/night on the Wii doing family chores like snowboarding, tennis, and baseball. Sometimes the recalibration didn't work and we had to do it again and again. Eventually, the…

A welcome addition to the Nintendo Wii range of accessories

I bought the Wii Motion Plus for two of the three controllers we need to enhance the gaming experience in a game, Tiger Woods 2010. The device consists of a silicone shell that easily attaches to the Wii Remote and the electronic housing snaps into the Nunchuk socket. You slide a switch to lock the device in place and no calibration is required on my end. The added versatility of MotionPlus makes gaming more realistic. The weight is minimal and the silicone case is comfortable to hold. As a…

Makes it even more fun with the Wii

I've only been using it for a few days but it seems to be working fine. I have one with a Wii Sports Resort game and one from Revain for a 2 player game. I also use it with Tiger Woods 10. It seems to make the 3D movement of the Wii controller much more accurate (apart from the IR direction). It is easy to connect and does not require its own batteries. I don't know why Nintendo didn't just design the original Wii controller as a better place to start. It's only an inch or two long, but the…

Easily loses calibration. more prone to wear and tear

This device makes the remote an inch and a half longer than before, making it more prone to being carried around, especially in games like Wii Resort where you often have to hold it with two hands. I repeatedly turned off MotionPlus when it was supposedly bound to the remote. I can't imagine it lasting very long in the hands of active kids. Also, it's true what everyone says about it losing accuracy with aggressive use. I enjoyed sword fighting until I moved to higher levels where it took…

Doesn't stand out, doesn't bother

I have nothing good to say about this product as you don't really want to notice this accessory and don't want it to get in the way. We've used this with the Wii Sports Resort and based on extreme enjoyment of the Wii Sports Resort I would say this accessory is a hit. My 11-year-old son immediately noticed that the Wiimote had gotten a little bigger as a result, but never commented on it again. I didn't notice any difference and we quickly got into the game without thinking about the controller

Adds an extra element to your MotionPlus enabled games

I was one of the first Wii users when it came out. WiiMotes (Wii Remote) were simple and didn't have a silicone case. I remember buying some regular silicone cases to protect them. I was happy to see that Nintendo started shipping WiiMotes like this and even sold the Wii MotionPlus with a silicone case. Remember that to get rid of the rumble effect, you need to look for games with the MotionPlus icon. I suspect more games will support Wii MotionPlus in the future. Here's my final use case for…
