These knife protectors are made of durable plastic and keep my knives from rubbing against each other or in the drawer and becoming dull when not in use. They are strong and prevent me from cutting myself when I take the knife out of the drawer. We use them vertically between small pieces of wood for easy insertion and easy access. They are very useful and I expect they will last a long time. I highly recommend them.
