As they say, you can't wash them oh, but I carry very dirty dogs with me and prefer to wash. I throw it in the washing machine and dry it. The only issue I found when washing is that the water repellency on the sides and bumper flap wears off very quickly. I just sewed on an extra layer to fix this problem. It doesn't really need to be washed though. You can just hang it up and wash it and it's good. It's excellent quality and we will definitely buy it again! Note: I replaced the suction cups with stronger ones. The suction cups that come with the lid are very simple and never last more than 30 minutes. If this! If like me you want the cabinet to hold up with some force I would suggest the ones that have suction and a twist or clamp on the suction, that way you can increase the suction to the strength you need.
