10 months ago I cut off ALL my hair (49 3/4 inches, SO MUCH) to give to a co-worker whose teenage daughter had cancer and needed hair to grow a to make a wig. I had enough hair that she didn't even have to ask anyone, so yeah, I cut them all off. This girl cares more about her looks than I did at my age. But I remember being 14 years old and at that age I didn't care what I looked like. I've taken care of a whole bunch. But not so much now, and with Lovelocks and other charities not giving wigs to cancer patients because "hair needs to grow back" (nonsense), her parents looked for something affordable and found a place to get a human hair wig , for about $1000 if they provide the hair. Everything was fine for the first few months after weaning. I've never had short hair and to be honest it was beautiful. But as I got older it started to get annoying. I have a very noticeable widow's head so I never wore bangs and it got long enough to get in my face which was very annoying. Also, it was on my neck. I can't even describe how it got on my nerves. I've never worn headbands so I didn't have one so I started searching online for something to help keep my growing hair out of my face. I have read reviews of this bandage kit and many others. Only focus on negative reviews because it matters, right? Why don't people like these? The only thing I saw on this set was that people thought they were too tight. I have a medium sized head, definitely not small but I don't find it too big either. win, win. They had the width I wanted, the neutral colors I wanted, and if they were a bit small they would probably hold my hair behind my head better. If they were MUCH small they would be cotton so I could stretch them. Also, the price was definitely good for the amount you get compared to others I looked at. So I ordered them in June and since then I've been wearing them on my head almost every day. They didn't seem small to me. The only problem I have is that I keep losing them! So I actually came to order more as I can only find two at the moment. But thought I'd write a review while I was here. It will take a while for my hair to grow long enough to be pulled back into a ponytail so until then I rely on her 100% to keep my sanity as my hair grows back.
