My application is displaying IP cameras on a large HD flat screen TV with video and audio. A much better and cheaper solution than a dedicated PC and a small screen. I'm using both RTSP streams and HTTP streams with no problems. One of the main advantages for me was the fact that they don't require internet access. The installation includes 40 IP cameras with one encoder and two decoders on a fully isolated LAN. Because my application is completely isolated, there is no need to use password protection. I bought a decoder to test and had an issue with the Chinese menu which their support team solved. Having bought the device with the English menu, the setup/configuration was easy and very easy. As with any complex software, there are always a few small problems. The only thing worth mentioning is that I can't see the currently active URL on the selection page when I log into the device. This is not a problem in normal remote control operation, it only becomes annoying when you enter the device for installation/configuration. I was skeptical to buy this unit as my experience is with expensive professional quality broadcast products at 10x the price of these units. I am now 100% sold and currently have two decoders and one encoder and look forward to getting more units in the near future.
