I give this unit 5 stars based on the quality I see. However, the main reason for my review is to warn others, which I should have understood. This device has a variable range from 7 to 9 inches. The center-to-center distance between hot and cold pipes coming out of your wall should be within this range - if they don't fall within this range, you can't use this faucet. I like it very much but I can't use it. Update: I would like to add that the photos do not do justice to the majestic and serene impression this faucet gives. Don't let the price fool you, this is a heavyweight, high quality copper that will have you saying "Wow, better than the picture!"
