Not suitable for normal size handlebar

I have a Rad Power Bikes RadWagon 4 electric cargo bike. The handlebars are a standard size and will fit any other accessories I have installed. For some reason I couldn't tighten this handlebar mount enough, rendering it virtually unusable. They really should include more sizes of rubber grips to attach. They basically involve a few pieces of hard plastic (not rubber) and then what looks like clear vinyl tape but isn't very thick. I thought this was just an issue with my particular bike, but it doesn't tighten enough on my wife's SixThreeZero cruiser or one of my son's Schwinn cruisers. I returned it and decided to just go the phone holder top tube route instead. Also, I could see pretty much all the negatives I've read here - the phone holder takes ages to fully screw in and if you don't, it rattles during the ride (unless there's a phone in it). ) . Large phones are very heavy considering they can only be attached to the bottom third of large phones. Etc. I just can't recommend this mount. I was hoping it would be good, but it isn't.

Pros
  • Please note that the diameter of the clamp is Φ31.8mm (1.26inch). Use a pair of sappers (12*25.4mm) or (12.22.2mm), which fit for 31.8mm, 25.4mm and bikes with 22.2mm handlebars. Can be used on motorcycle/mountain bike/road bike/e-bike/folding bike/scooter handlebar, etc. If the handlebar is too small, you need to install an adapter in it.
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
