Review on πŸ‘œ Colombian Leather 15.6” Laptop Briefcase Portfolio by Alpine Swiss - Messenger Bag by Doug Hinrichsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A luxury bag at a slacker price.

For the money this bag seems like a much more expensive suitcase, hauler or three times the price. It has good zippers, good hardware, very smooth and expensive leather surfaces. I could use a few more pen holders and a few more small pockets inside so you can keep things like chargers and cables evenly distributed, but overall this is a really good bag. I keep an ultrabook in a leather case, an ipad in a case, 3 chargers, an external battery, 3 pens, a solid state drive, common cables and flash drives, headphones, 2 laptop keys, a paper file and a precision set on tool. It's still sleek with no visible bulges, and I can fit a second Ultrabook in there if needed. It really takes us back to the old days when laptop bags cost $300 but they were made as a nice briefcase or tome. I'm a little tired of ballistic nylon myself. And like good bags, this one doesn't have sticky plastic or rubber feet on the bottom, so you have to be more careful when putting it inside. The inner lining of the bag is dark, contrary to the trend of fluorescent interiors. While it's easier on the eye, it makes it harder to find when you're looking for something in low light. Also, this thing is begging to be stolen.
