I love the performance of this toilet fill valve

I really like the performance of this toilet fill valve. Adjusting the bowl overflow is a great water saving feature. The flush pipe does a good job of preventing water foam from building up in the toilet cistern and on the toilet valves. The "click" locking mechanism ensures you don't turn the lock nut when screwing this fill valve into the toilet tank. I have installed several of these fill valves in various toilets over the past five years and have never had a problem with them. . I seem to have had fewer problems with this valve in the past than other brands. The first of these HC660 inflation valves that I installed over five years ago still works like a normal inflation valve, but I recently replaced it because the special cleaning flow tube that is unique to this inflation valve has apparently stopped working due to water flows its special properties. tank cleaning pipe. However, the valve continued to work and fill the tank normally, and I could have left it running. My current home has sixty-year-old steel pipes that tend to break off bits of rust and clog water valves. In older homes I've seen many fill valves, including popular competitor brands, run non-stop when the valve disc has aged, clogged, or broken. You can turn off the water at the wall faucet and then partially disassemble those float fill valves in the tank without completely removing them from the tank. to clean the disk valve. To do this, watch online videos on YouTube or other websites. (I noticed that this HC660 inflation valve comes with a small locking tab that as you can see is built into the back and top of the valve. It may need to be unscrewed or broken off and pulled out to get it off the top to remove can be unscrewed to access disc valve seal for cleaning (see HydroClean website for more info. all the way up), this is the position where the float cannot engage the release disc. Simply use a screwdriver or your hand to turn the float adjuster counter-clockwise (lowering the float height) a sufficient number of turns to allow the float enough room to rise and close the valve when the poppet settles and is seated . A simple adjustment of the float height to make sure it's not at max height and has enough room to float higher fixes this. Note that I am referring to float height adjustment, NOT tube height adjustment.

Pros
  • Easy installation without tools
Cons
  • Everything is fine
