Works perfectly! on Rough Plumbing

The box is marked 703A and the part number on the valve itself is 703A5B (it could be a sub part number for what looks like a canister) but it is identical with the valve in my toilet. Changed in less than 5 minutes. Works perfectly!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Price for a piggy bank

Perfect fit, OEM part, very easy installation.

If you have this style, no problem. Nothing needs to be installed (maximum 5 minutes). The price is the lowest I've found anywhere and it fits perfectly. My Glacier Bay toilet is sold by Home Depot, but the model name and number are different from other manufacturers. Don't get confused. If it looks like it, that's it. I used to work at Home Depot and we must have sold a million of them.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Safety

Perfect Fit: Rough Plumbing

Exact replacement for my Glacier Bay 1.28 GPF toilet. The Original 1 didn't turn off no matter what you did with the float. The water valve on the tank closed. Remove the old assembly and open the water valve in the tank (to flush the line - keep your hand in front of the copper line so the water doesn't fly everywhere). Cut the water valve back off and install a new assembly (hand tight plastic tie). Video note: The filling noise is loud just because the gas cap was open.

  • Sleek Design

Fits Niagara A1412 Inflator Valve

I managed to replace a faulty Niagara A1412 Inflator Valve with this 703A. It fills up twice as fast as a new one. This is a plus and a minus, a certain amount of water hammer and an increased sound of water gushing from pipes. The A1412 has a dial, but it's hidden inside next to the diaphragm. At least that's where I found mine. Our drain tank can handle 1.4-1.6 gallons but this valve doesn't seem to go above 1.5 gallons, may need some adjustment but it works and I really don't want to mess…

Easy installation.

I am not a plumber and am usually afraid of touching water related objects in the house. I bought this replacement from Revain, followed the simple instructions to swap it out and the toilet is working like new in less than 10 minutes. 1. Turn off the water in the toilet, 2. Drain the water from the tank. 3. Place a rag under the replacement valve, remove the old valve. 4. Install a new valve and follow the instructions to flush the lines. 5.Done! I just bought another one as a backup for the…

Failure in less than 4 months

My Glacier Bay toilet was leaking so I ordered this unit as a replacement but in less than 4 months it is leaking again. Upon inspection, it was found that the (rubber?) shut-off disc ("242 TOILET SEAL REPLACEMENT" according to their website) was slightly broken, making it no longer blocking the flow of water. I was expecting the entire product to last longer, not in direct sunlight and not being able to handle the extreme heat or cold of the San Francisco Bay Area, and only very light home…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • boring packaging

Very good product. And very easy to install.

We do not use the water softener provided by the City of Cape Coral, Florida. My guess was that for the price per gallon they charge it should be fine not knowing there is excess lime in the water causing limescale build up. After many years the Glacier Bay toilet fill valve was unstable so I found an exact replacement online at Revain and placed an order to replace the Fluidmaster series 703A valve which was an exact replica. I simply unscrewed the old one from the supply line at the top of…

Was the little cap blown off? Don't be upset, brother! But have one ready.

Water hammer from the air in the line ripped off the cap and it sank into the bowl, then was flushed into the nozzle and got stuck. It was pulled out with a pair of right-angle needle-nose pliers. But I've already ordered this one. So I put it on the shelf and it sat there for six months before I really needed it. Suddenly the amount of water being poured has dropped significantly. I removed the valve assembly and part of it and checked for any obvious signs of clogging and with the valve…

Works great!

Okay this is my first time buying a house, I lived in the house for a month and the 6 year old kid started screaming that the toilet was broken. I wasn't happy as I'm a total idiot when it comes to housekeeping (I'm a student but it's a steep curve for me). So I was a little shocked when I lifted the toilet lid to see what was inside (really who does that?) My wife and I looked at each other and said what the heck is that? So I googled the model and figured out what kind of toilet and valves…
