I am not a plumber and am usually afraid of touching water related objects in the house. I bought this replacement from Revain, followed the simple instructions to swap it out and the toilet is working like new in less than 10 minutes. 1. Turn off the water in the toilet, 2. Drain the water from the tank. 3. Place a rag under the replacement valve, remove the old valve. 4. Install a new valve and follow the instructions to flush the lines. 5.Done! I just bought another one as a backup for the future as the cheapest available (spare) is at Revain. Both Lowes and Home Depot are $4-5 more expensive.
