Almond honey is not ideal for thick hair

I have straight hair that is thicker than average and can be a bit greasy. Despite this, I still struggle to moisturize my hair during the dry, cold winter, so I bought the almond honey version of this shampoo to repair the damage caused by dryness. I like shampoos that completely saturate my thick hair and leave it very clean without stripping it of its natural oils. This shampoo requires me to use at least three times my usual amount as it doesn't spread easily or well. To be fair to this brand, my experience with shampoos that try to use as many natural ingredients as possible is that they generally don't lather well. When I use my usual amount of shampoo there is little to no lather and I have to spend a lot of time in the shower massaging the shampoo through my hair. If I use an obscene amount, it lathers well, spreads quickly and does a great job of removing oil buildup from my hair so I don't have to wash my hair daily. I can't comment on how it behaves when I remove my hair from styling products like hairspray or gel as I don't use any of them. Helpful tip: Hold the bottle upside down when opening. Like many natural shampoos, it is very runny. Once the lid is opened, the shampoo comes out. Don't think you're being smart by putting your hand underneath to catch the shampoo. It flows out so quickly that it immediately fills your hand and starts dripping from your palm onto the floor.
