Firstly, the good thing is that it's a simple, small, light and user-friendly install. The vent clip is perfectly functional and small enough to fit in almost any vent. I prefer this style of Apple MagSafe charger holder because I can use the charger elsewhere if needed (unlike others that are built into a dedicated device that only works in the car). The loading disc eventually falls out of the holder. I'd say it's 99% safe, especially when it's sticking right out of the vent so your phone is at a 90 degree vertical angle. The mount is grippy and firm on the MagSafe drive, but vibration over time will cause it to gradually shake out, and your phone will distract you while driving with a rattling noise if dropped. Annoyingly, this is the dumbest design flaw because it's so easy to fix by making the top arm (or top two) tiny L-shaped brackets. The MagSafe then slides UNDER the L-Bracket first and the rest is held in place by gravity. So easy! That tiny ledge on the bracket would have made it flawless, but apparently the designers let the product out the door with minimal real-world testing. The weight keeps it in place. However, I assume that it will fail at some point.
