I am a Physical Therapist Assistant (11 years old) who had knee replacement surgery 2 months ago. I am an outpatient and use the expensive Rock Blades instrument set IASTM (Instrumented Soft Tissue Mobilization). This $10 gouache tool has the right surface and contour to break up the myofascial restrictions (knots) of the quadriceps and calf muscles, as well as break up (healed) scar tissue keloids along with several smaller areas of the body. Maybe for cross fingers. This was very helpful in desensitizing the distal quadriceps during the flex area of cycling and during extended stretching and general relief from discomfort during downtime. I would highly recommend this inexpensive and well-made tool to anyone looking for relief from tight, sore muscles, as well as professionals looking for a small, lightweight tool to carry in their pocket.
